Stage 7. ACCEPTANCE

During this, the last of the seven stages in the grief model, you learn to accept that Rangers died and deal with the reality of your situation. Acceptance does not necessarily mean instant happiness or Ramsdens Cup success. Given the pain and turmoil you have experienced, you can never return to the carefree, SFA aided, untroubled club that kicked, spat and cheated it’s way to glory before this tragedy. But you will find a way forward. You will find a new club to support. A new charlatan to follow blindly to your doom once again.

Sevco fans have kicked and screamed and tried hard to convice us that they still follow the same club despite being confronted with indisputable evidence to the contrary. Deep down, I think even they realise that they were only trying to convince themselves.

In taking personal offence to a banner which depicted a zombie being shot, the poor souls have inadvertently put there hands up and admitted their beloved club is dead, as they now stagger like, yes, zombies behind a new club…….
